Well hello, June.
I had every intention of getting this post up the first of June. Now here we are, 13 days in. Pretty sure I’ve said this at the start of each month so far this year, but where did the last month go? May was a blur. A good blur, but a blur none the less.
Every week I have on a written list or on the to-do list that I have running through my head…get several blog posts written so I can be better about posting more regularly. But seems like every week other things become a priority and the blog falls off the list(s)! I’ll be honest, there are days where I get a little anxious about it…like I’m not doing something good enough to juggle this aspect of the business. I try hard not to compare myself to other small business owners who get regular posts up. But some days, it’s easier than others.
BUT all that said, now that we’re about halfway into 2016, I wanted to post a little ‘latest and greatest biz update’ blog post. Hart & Co. has officially been up and running for a year and a half, but things really started to take shape about this time last year. As in finally had a logo, business cards, and construction on the website was finally underway. Crazy what a difference a year can make…
The first part of 2016 has been filled with styled shoots, coffee dates, and growing relationships with folks in the wedding and event industry here in the Charlotte area and beyond. The highlight though…welcoming new clients into the Hart & Co. fold.
Another super exciting update…as of last month, Hart & Co. has an official, brick-and-mortar home! While I enjoyed working from home after years of traveling and being on the road for work, I reached a point end of last year/first part of this year where I realized I needed some separation between home life/work life. (Anyone else feel me?!) I looked into the whole co-sharing office space thing…you know it’s all the rage. But I don’t know that I am cool or hip enough to pull it off. Besides, if I was going to invest in some sort of office space, I wanted to go big. It had to be reflective of Hart & Co. and a place that was welcoming to clients. And let’s be honest, my husband is probably pretty happy that I have a place other than the closets in our home to store all the styling props and inventory I’ve accumulated over the last few years.
Still working on getting things situated, but here’s a little light filled sneak peek. I’m thrilled and can’t wait to welcome more guests and clients into the office.
And maybe once I get situated, I’ll get better about blogging more regularly…
